Senior Planner

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Planner to join our dynamic development team in Finchley Central. This is an exceptional opportunity for a motivated planning professional with 2-5 years' experience to take ownership of diverse development projects and drive growth in our promotional agreements division.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing planning applications across our diverse development pipeline
• Coordinating with planning consultants, architects, and local authorities
• Preparing planning reports, statements, and supporting documentation
• Conducting site appraisals and feasibility studies
• Liaising with statutory consultees and managing consultation processes
• Monitoring planning policy changes and legislative updates
• Supporting promotional agreement negotiations and land assembly
• Project managing applications from inception to determination

Current Development Portfolio

You'll be working on an exciting range of projects including:

• Large-scale residential schemes (400+ units in West London, 106 units in North Finchley)
• Purpose Built Student Accommodation developments (170 bed 250 bed schemes in Southampton)
• Mixed-use care/medical and residential development in Sevenoaks
• Various small to medium-sized commercial & residential applications
• Promotional agreements including a 500+ unit scheme in Dorchester
• Opportunity to expand and take ownership of our growing promotional agreements division

Requirements

• 2-5 years' experience in planning (consultancy or in-house)
• Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking
• High standards of integrity and professional ethics
• Energy and enthusiasm for complex development projects
• Creative thinker who brings fresh ideas and innovative solutions
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Knowledge of planning legislation and policy frameworks
• Experience with planning applications and appeals processes
• RTPI qualification or working towards preferred
• Proactive approach with exceptional attention to detail

What We Offer

• Salary: £42,000 - £47,000 per annum
• Holiday: 22 days annual leave plus bank holidays
