Children’s Residential Support Worker x 2 Macclesfield Salary - £22,000 per annum (Including sleep-ins) Care2recruit are looking for Residential Support Workers for a children’s home in the Macclesfield area. The home is a 5-bed service providing specialist care to children with learning difficulties and EBD, the home also has a dedicated school producing specialist education to the residents and others. Based in various locations across the North West my client in a highly respected provider of care and support to vulnerable children who have suffered placement breakdowns, experience a range of learning difficulties and require specialised care. Core Support Role Responsibilities * To contribute to the Care Planning process of children cared for by my client * Attending and preparing for children’s conferences, reviews, planning, core group and other meetings in connection with children placed with the company * To attend and contribute to your supervision sessions and appraisal processes. * To participate in training programmes and individual training courses. * Undertaking “sleep-in” duties in accordance with the home’s rota. * Contributing to the creation of an environment in which children are afforded high material standards in relation to their physical needs. In so doing you will consider their individual needs taking into account their ability, gender, ethnicity, religious persuasion and cultural background. * Contributing to the creation and maintenance of effective communication systems within the children’s home and between the children’s home and other parts of the organisation, outside agencies and children’s families (when this is in accordance with the child’s care plan). * To participate and contribute to the collation and preparation of Assessment and Action Records (when this is in accordance with the child’s care plan). * To maintain all records in accordance with company policy, regulations and statutory requirements * To work in a safe way, not putting your own or another member of staff’s health or safety at work at risk. To ensure that all substances relating to COSHH are appropriately stored. * To inform your supervisor as soon as possible of any intended absence from work due to sickness, or for any other reason. The shift patterns for Residential Support Workers are 40 hours per week and are worked throughout the year on a rota basis. This includes shift work (days, sleep ins and weekend work) and required flexibility to meet service demands. The position includes roughly 10 sleep ins a month.
