Job Title: EYFS Lead

Location: Prenton, Wirral

Salary: £28,000-£30,000 p/y

A well-established private nursery in Prenton is looking to recruit a passionate and experienced EYFS Lead to join their team on a full-time basis, working 42.5 hours per week. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to take the next step in their early years career, and Teachers with QTS are warmly invited to apply. As the EYFS Lead, you will be responsible for leading the planning and delivery of the EYFS curriculum across the nursery. You will support, train and mentor staff to ensure high standards of teaching and learning are maintained and will play a key role in promoting best practices across all age groups. You will also work alongside the Nursery Manager to provide support for children with SEND, contributing to inclusive strategies and individual plans.

Responsibilities

  • Lead on the implementation and delivery of the EYFS curriculum across the setting.
  • Mentor and support room leaders and practitioners through room-based training and coaching.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of teaching to ensure consistent high standards.
  • Work alongside the management team to support the development and progress of children with SEND, contributing to EHCPs and liaising with external professionals when needed.
  • Promote a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment for all children.
  • Maintain accurate records, observations, and assessments in line with statutory requirements.
  • Ensure that safeguarding procedures are always followed.

Role Requirements

  • A Level 3 qualification or higher in Early Years Education is essential.
  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) is desirable but not essential - we welcome applications from qualified teachers with EYFS experience.
  • Previous experience in a senior early years role.
  • Strong understanding of the EYFS framework, safeguarding, and SEND practices.
  • Ability to inspire, lead and support a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
