Senior Field Engineer - Healthcare Technology

We are looking for an experienced Senior Field Engineer to support the deployment, servicing, and optimisation of advanced automated systems across hospital sites and within the Deenova technical facility. This position plays a key role in ensuring equipment reliability, seamless operations, and exceptional customer experience through close collaboration with clinical teams, technical specialists, and internal departments.

Role Overview

The position is divided into two core stages:

1. Installation & Commissioning

*

Install automated systems and carry out full calibration and configuration.

*

Support project rollouts in line with agreed implementation plans.

2. Operational Support & Maintenance

*

Deliver ongoing maintenance and technical services for Deenova solutions.

*

Manage day‑to‑day technical support to maintain uninterrupted system performance.

*

Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance activities.

*

Diagnose and resolve both hardware and software faults.

*

Identify, troubleshoot, and repair system failures or performance issues.

*

Ensure all work meets established Technical Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

*

Produce clear and detailed technical and operational reports for management and HQ.

*

Organise work priorities and plan tasks efficiently.

*

Build strong working relationships with pharmacists, nurses, engineers, doctors, and other healthcare professionals.

*

Participate in a 24/7 on‑call rota to support clinical teams and maintain continuity of care.

*

Assist with cabinet‑related logistics, including loading unit doses, managing expiry dates, monitoring stock levels, and reviewing replenishment reports.

Technical Skills & Experience

The successful candidate will bring strong capability across both hardware and software elements of automated hospital technologies, including:

Advanced troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.

*

Proven background in servicing and repairing automated or electromechanical equipment.

*

Strong coordination skills and broad technical understanding across multiple disciplines.

*

Analytical thinking with the ability to anticipate and prevent system issues.

*

Confident use of Microsoft Excel for reporting and inventory management.

*

A proactive, hands‑on approach to resolving technical challenges and improving system performance.

*

Experience in similar environments such as pharmaceutical or food‑processing industries is advantageous.

Soft Skills & Personal Attributes

*

Effective team player with the ability to collaborate in a fast‑paced, innovative healthcare setting.

*

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Education & Additional Requirements

*

Degree in a technical or scientific field preferred; a relevant technical diploma will also be considered.

*

Based in Leicester.

*

Basic Italian language skills are highly desirable.
