This role involves working as a 1:1 teaching assistant with a year 1 pupil in a mainstream setting who needs additional support in the classroom and around the school. This child sometimes struggles to behave correctly and needs a role model to show them how to behave appropriately in the classroom and on the play yard. Additionally, you will need to prompt the child to stay on task and help with their academic work when needed. The pupil sometimes struggles to understand instructions given by the classroom teacher so you will be to reiterate or explain instructions in a different way to make sure the pupil understands the task.
