LEAD TECHNICAL ARCHITECT - GLOBAL SAAS/AI PLATFORM

Clarity is working with a high-growth SaaS business seeking a Lead Technical Architect to take ownership of the architecture of a global, multi-tenant platform, combining cloud-native SaaS, Real Time communications, CRM integration ( Salesforce ), and emerging AI capabilities.

This is a senior, high-impact role where you will act as the technical authority across engineering, shaping long-term platform evolution, raising engineering standards, and driving how AI is Embedded into production systems.

This is not a pure DevOps or hands-on coding role - it is a leadership-first architecture role with real ownership.

You MUST have:

• Proven experience designing multi-tenant SaaS platforms at scale
• Strong AWS architecture experience (multi-region, production systems)
• Experience working on complex distributed systems (ideally Real Time/telecoms)

Cloud & Infrastructure

• AWS (core platform) Multi-region architecture; Scalable, highly available infrastructure

Platform Architecture

• Multi-tenant SaaS platform (global scale)
• Distributed systems/service-based architecture
• Backend services interacting across: Application layer; Data systems; Cloud infrastructure

Data & AI Layer

• AI-enabled platform (growing capability); AI/ML integration patterns

Integration Layer

• Salesforce (core CRM integration); API-driven integrations across platform services
• External system interoperability

Real Time Systems

• Telecoms/Real Time communications infrastructure requiring: Low latency; High concurrency/reliability

Engineering & DevOps Practices

• CI/CD pipelines (DevOps-led, collaborative environment)
• Monitoring, logging, incident response
• Strong focus on: System design clarity; Documentation; Architectural governance

KEY SKILLS

• SaaS architecture (multi-tenant, distributed systems)
• Deep AWS architecture experience (production, multi-region)
• System design across Back End services, data, and integrations
• Real Time systems/telecoms architecture (highly desirable)
• Salesforce/CRM integration at architectural level
• AI/ML architecture (integration, pipelines, platform design)
• Observability, monitoring, resilience engineering
• Architectural governance and decision frameworks
• Strong documentation and system design communication

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• 8+ years software engineering (Back End/platform focus)
• Proven experience architecting large-scale SaaS platforms
• Strong AWS experience in production environments
• Experience leading architecture across multiple teams
• Track record of: Improving platform scalability and resilience; Reducing technical debt; Establishing architectural clarity and governance
• Experience with AI-enabled platforms or products
• Experience with Real Time communications/telecoms systems
• Experience in product-led SaaS environments

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Own and drive the architectural direction of a global SaaS platform
• Define service interactions across cloud, Back End, data, CRM, and Real Time systems
• Lead architecture reviews and guide engineering decisions
• Act as escalation point for complex cross-platform challenges
• Establish architecture governance, documentation, and standards
• Improve resilience, observability, and operational maturity
• Lead evolution of AI capabilities across the platform
• Mentor engineers and elevate technical capability across teams
