Special Needs Teaching Assistant required to support KS1 and KS2 students with additional needs with the mainstream classroom.
Start: September 2025 Monday to Friday, 8.30am- 3.30pm (term time only) Are you a reliable, flexible person looking for a Teaching Assistant job? Can work on own initiative and enjoy working as part of a team whilst supporting SEN children with their learning?
IDEALLY: To have experience and knowledge working with children with a range of Learning Difficulties & Experience of working with both KS1 & KS2
Special Needs Teaching Assistant Role & Qualification:
- To work alongside the class Teacher in supporting the children with their learning.
- Building intellectual, social and emotional skills of the children whilst promoting enjoyment of learning.
- To have knowledge and an understanding of the KS1 & KS2 curriculum.
- Able to work as part of a team working with children with a range of SEN needs within the classroom.
- Have a good understanding of traits and triggers; promoting a positive learning environment
- Good communication, organisational skills and patient with a good sense of humour
- Qualified with a L2/L3 Teaching Assistant, Care or SEND qualification
