IT Service Desk Engineer

Up to £30,000 DOE + Great Benefits

We are looking for experienced IT Support Engineer’s to join our MSP client on a permanent basis as a Service Desk Engineer operating at a 2nd/ 3rd line level capacity, providing support to client’s end users and their line of business applications. This position offers a great opportunity for a driven and experienced professional with a passion for IT and Technology to join an established and fast-growing Service Desk Team - there are three positions available!

What You’ll Be Doing

- Communicate with clients, end users and 3rd parties via telephone, email and remote support tools

- Resolving Incidents, Service Requests and Provide Regular Updates

- Working as part of the Service Desk Support Team, taking ownership of tickets that have been escalated to you

- Attend client sites when required (full UK driving license and own car is necessary)

- Provide occasional on-call / out-of-hours emergency support (on a rota)

Environment, Skills and Experience Required

- 3 Years of Experience Working in a 2nd/3rd line technical support role

- Experience working within an MSP environment

- Configuration / Support of MS Windows Server (2008 - 2016)

- Configuration / Support of MS Windows OS (Windows 8.1 - Windows 10)

- Configuration / Troubleshooting of MS Exchange (2010 - 2016)

- Active Directory Support / Maintenance

- Office 365 Configuration / Advanced Support

- Configuration / Troubleshooting of Enterprise Grade Backup Solutions (Cloud and On-Premise)

- Network Configuration / Troubleshooting (WAN, LAN, WLAN)

- Configuration / Troubleshooting of Enterprise Grade Wireless Solutions

- Enterprise-Grade Firewall Configuration / Troubleshooting

- Working Remotely and From Site

- Microsoft Azure configuration / support (including ARM)

- Experience with Scripting Tools (PowerShell)

- VMWare / Hyper-V Configuration / Troubleshooting

- Network Print Solutions

- Educated up to Degree Level (IT Related)

- Microsoft Server MCP / MCSA Certification, or Valid CCNA Certification
