Right Now Group are recruiting for an Import Operator to join a well-established international freight forwarder based in Manchester.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience in Air or Ocean Imports who wants to manage shipments end-to-end. If you're confident in one mode, full training can be provided on the other.

You'll be responsible for managing Import shipments from start to finish, ensuring cargo moves smoothly, compliantly, and on time.

• Managing Air Freight and/or Ocean Freight Import shipments from start to finish (training available on one mode)

• Preparing and processing Import documentation including:

  • Bills of Lading

  • Airway Bills

  • Customs entries

• Liaising with shipping lines, airlines, overseas agents and hauliers to ensure timely movement of freight

• Coordinating and managing customs clearance accurately and efficiently

• Providing clear updates to customers and maintaining strong client communication

• Ensuring shipments meet Import regulations and customer requirements

• Using CargoWise to manage job files and shipment processing

• Supporting the wider operations team when required

• Previous experience handling Import freight operations (Air or Ocean)

• Comfortable managing shipments from start to finish

• Strong communication and organisational skills

• Experience using a freight management system (CargoWise is highly desirable)

• Someone looking to develop and progress within a stable forwarding business

• Salary: £30,000

• Hours: Monday to Friday (standard office hours)
