Senior Children's Residential Support Worker (Team Leader)

We are seeking dedicated Senior Residential Childcare Workers to join our team in a 3-bedroom children's home in Lichfield.
We now have permanent roles available, offering both day and night shifts, with excellent opportunities for progression within the service.

Senior Children's Residential Support Worker (Team Leader) is an exciting opportunity to step into a leadership role within a stable, therapeutically led home where young people are thriving and long-term staff progression is actively encouraged.

In this Senior Children's Residential Support Worker (Team Leader) position, you will lead shifts, support colleagues, and help shape positive outcomes for young people through a nurturing PACE approach.

What You'll Do as a Senior Children's Residential Support Worker (Team Leader)

You will act as a key leader within the home, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations while delivering high-quality, child-centred care. This includes promoting education, independence, life skills, and emotional well-being.

As a key member of the team, the Senior Children's Residential Support Worker (Team Leader) will support record-keeping, develop Ofsted-required documents, manage safeguarding responsibilities, and maintain high operational standards around health & safety, medication, cleanliness, and professional conduct.

* £15-£16.50 per hour, depending on experience

Requirements

To succeed as a Senior Children's Residential Support Worker (Team Leader), you'll need:

* Experience working with children

* Level 3 or 4 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)

* Full UK manual driving licence

* Ability to work 7:30-22:30 on a 1-on-2-off shift pattern including sleep-ins

* A genuine passion for supporting young people and improving their life chances
