We are seeking a dedicated Lecturer in Fashion to join our Creative Industries Department. This role is ideal for someone passionate about teaching and inspiring students to maximize their success. The successful candidate will design, develop, and deliver dynamic learning programmes across a range of modules or within a specific subject area.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Develop and deliver dynamic learning programmes that meet the needs of learners using a diverse range of teaching and learning strategies.
  • Identify and assess learners’ needs throughout their programme of study.
  • Plan, design, and deliver learning programmes/sessions and facilitate learning in line with course aims, objectives, mode of assessment, and accreditation.
  • Monitor, evaluate, and improve the quality and effectiveness of learning programmes, sessions, and own practice.
  • Safeguard and promote the welfare of children, young people, and vulnerable adults served by the College.
  • Support the promotion of courses and the recruitment and enrolment of learners.
  • Ensure effective assessment of learners to help ensure that learning meets individual needs.
  • Maintain a safe learning environment by supporting learners in understanding how to keep themselves and others safe.
  • Deliver outstanding learning, using creative learning strategies that will inspire and engage learners to reach their full potential.
  • Provide academic and pastoral support to help learners achieve their goals.
  • Mark and assess learners’ work, providing feedback that supports learners to improve.
  • Take responsibility for the progress and achievement of all learners on your course.
  • Liaise with student support functions, external agencies, and parents to help ensure that learners make good or better progress.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in teaching, preferably in fashion or a related field within creative industries.
  • Ability to utilise a wide range of teaching and learning tools to create engaging learning opportunities.
  • Strong commitment to high standards of customer care, equal opportunities, and health and safety practices.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to promote and implement effective teaching strategies that cater to a diverse student population.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development.
