Job Title: Class 1 HGV Driver - Trunking & Long-Haul

The Opportunity:

This is a trunking and line haul role with minimal manual handling, ideal for drivers who prefer straightforward runs, modern vehicles, and a dependable shift pattern.

Your Role:

Operate articulated vehicles (Class 1) safely and responsibly

*

Complete trunk runs between depots and distribution centres

*

Conduct pre-use vehicle checks and report defects promptly

*

Maintain accurate records using a digital tachograph and comply with Drivers' Hours regulations

*

Liaise calmly and professionally with traffic office, warehouse staff, and customers

*

Follow route schedules while adapting to changing road conditions when needed

What You'll Need:

*

A valid UK Class 1 (C+E) driving licence

*

Driver CPC qualification and Digi Tachograph card

*

A solid understanding of UK driving laws and tachograph regulations

*

Previous experience in HGV driving preferred (but not always essential - training can be provided)

*

A responsible, safety-conscious mindset with strong communication skills
