Technical Assembler

As the technical assembler your Job will consist of assembling various parts of or entire products, which are classed as medical devises, and others. You must be able to read thorough instructions, blueprints, templates, and understand measurements. Upon completion of your in house training you should be able to rotate through all tasks in the assembly process and contribute to a team effort in order to complete productions.
Your duties would include:
Prepare work to be accomplished by following product order forms and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
Position parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements.
Assemble components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies.
Verify specifications by measuring completed component.
Notifying your supervisor if any problems or issues are spotted during the build process.
Keeps equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.
Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
Document actions by completing production and quality forms.
Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
You must be helpful, polite and have a good manner at all times.
Develop relevant product knowledge and skills
Participate in all internal training which may be relevant to the job role.
Liaise with The Technical Supervisors to clarify faults.
Ensure that the Work Areas are kept both clean and tidy at all times.
Candidates will require a general knowledge of tool use and complying with rules, regulations, and procedures to maintain a safe and clean work environment.

Salary 18000 per year.

Hours of work:

37.5 hours a week with two 15-minute tea breaks and 30 minutes for lunch (unpaid), five days a week Monday to Friday with overtime often available.
You would be provided with protective safety shoes and a Hi-Vis vest to be worn at all times. (Temporary staff will need to provide their own boots).
Salary is to be confirmed and depends upon experience and qualifications.
Ideally previous experience with Microsoft office (Excel/Word) would be an advantage. A good understanding of English is essential for build instructions, basic Math's and IT skills would be required.
A successful candidate will receive training in manual handling and basic health and safety as well as any in house training relating to the requirements of the job role.
A good level of fitness is required with good team working skills and the ability to work quickly and efficiently as well as being able to work on your own initiative as and when required.
An understanding of health and safety regulations is an advantage.
Whilst the above covers the main tasks and responsibilities of the position, the successful candidate will be expected to be flexible in their approach to assist with additional tasks when required.
