Macildowie are working with this client based in Enderby who are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Team Leader to join their established finance team on a temporary to permanent basis. The Role:

You will play a pivotal role in overseeing the accounts payable function, leading a team of clerks and ensuring that processes are delivered accurately and efficiently. With a supplier base of over 3,500, this role requires a proactive and driven individual with strong leadership qualities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, manage and motivate the Accounts Payable team to deliver high-quality service.
• Oversee the purchase ledger from invoice receipt through to payment, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
• Take responsibility for cash flow management, optimising supplier payment terms.
• Resolve disputes and complex queries with suppliers, demonstrating effective problem-solving skills.
• Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
• Support the business with key projects and process improvements.

About You:

• Proven management experience within Accounts Payable or similar finance leadership roles.
• Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to meet strict deadlines.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Confident with financial systems and Microsoft Excel.
• Self-motivated, with the ability to lead by example.
