Equipment Chief Systems Engineer – Actuation Systems

Lead all systems engineering design activities within the Actuation Systems Centre of Excellence, delivering actuation systems on UK and international projects. Provide systems engineering leadership across multiple contracts, spanning the full systems engineering life cycle with a focus on high integrity solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage systems engineering tasks and work packages to deliver value outcomes

• Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams and subject matter experts across multiple contracts

• Manage stakeholder relationships, including UK and European project customers and engineering domain specialists

• Influence systems design decisions to deliver realistic and successful technical input across a range of projects

• Manage and develop the systems engineering team to enhance skills and capabilities within the System Design Function and the Actuation Systems Centre of Excellence

The ideal candidate would ideally have:

• Practical experience applying systems engineering processes, methods and tools to develop complex products, ideally in defence/aerospace or high integrity systems

• Proven capability managing technical complexity and influencing multiple stakeholders

• Experience managing a systems engineering team to deliver project and business outcomes

The ideal candidate must have:

• Strong systems thinking and systems engineering leadership skills

• Ability to thrive in an environment with uncertainty and change
