Currently accepting applications for Recruiter for Skilled Trades Staffing Agency in Asheville, NC.
Recruiter will place all types of skilled labor placements from carpenter helpers to project managers of top construction companies. S/he is expected to utilize and follow the company's operational processes, while meeting daily, weekly, monthly recruiting performance "minimums", for screening, interviewing, and hiring employees in order to build & maintain an effective skilled-labor construction workforce for assignment/employment placement. This also includes sustaining a steady stream of support to existing customers with their staffing needs and nurturing those relationships along.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS include:
-RECRUITING and/or HR hiring experience REQUIRED.
-Knowledge of Commercial Construction and/or Construction Staffing is a plus, but, NOT REQUIRED.
-Knowledge of Commercial Construction Craftsman (Ex: Electricians, Plumbers, Sheet Metal Mechanics, HVAC, Carpenters, Welders, etc.) is helpful, but, NOT REQUIRED.
-Familiar with effective recruiting/hiring/onboarding processes...Placing Advertising, Phone Interviewing, In-Person Interviews, Qualifying the Candidate, Processing the New Hire, Assigning the New Hire, and Relaying all pertinent information to the New Hire, concerning the assignment.
-Thoroughly screen each applicant through verifying references, conducting background checks, and administering client and/or job related assessments or testing.
-Accurately document client job order requests and status, keeping updated within operational procedures.
-Co-lead the branch operations and executing branch recruiting sales functions
-Effectively manage employee relations related to proper counseling, and coaching of employee issues.
-Adaptability to talk with C-level and construction workers effectively and gain trust and deepen relationships and referrals.
-Experience conducting job fairs, recruiting events, and participating in networking events.
-Maintain knowledge of and ability to conduct all job functions of the recruiting, as well as, associated administrative position/duties within the office.
-Professionalism of corporate environment with a business owner's mindset.
-Above average communication skills to communicate with clients and candidates in both written and oral forms.
-Coaching skills to provide feedback and counsel to employees/candidates and associates to ensure quality performance and job satisfaction.
-Troubleshooting abilities to resolve problems or complaints of employees/candidates.
-Proven ability to utilize social media for recruiting efforts
-A cooperative, team oriented demeanor, yet also able to work independently.
-A High School diploma or equivalent; a Bachelor's degree or equivalent business experience is a plus, but NOT REQUIRED.
-The ability to understand and apply basic math skills and financial concepts.
-Strong PC skills as these are critical to your success in this role.
