Overview

We're seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer to provide extra shift cover at a leading international FMCG manufacturer based in Purfleet. This opportunity offers flexibility - ideal if you're looking to pick up additional shifts (typically once or twice a week, or 2-3 times a month) to earn extra income around your existing role.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out planned preventive maintenance (PPM) as required

Attend to breakdowns in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults

Support continuous improvement and minimise downtime

Requirements
Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer within an FMCG or high-speed manufacturing environment

Qualified mechanically or electrically (Apprenticeship, NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent)

Strong hands-on maintenance skills (mechanical and electrical)

Able to work autonomously and respond quickly to breakdowns
