Due to growth my client are recruiting for an experienced Production Engineer. This is a great opportunity to be part of a growing team dealing with high precision machining.

Responsibilities:      Responsible for production processes on shop floor

·       To prevent Job stoppages and downtime on the machines

·       To ensure the health and safety aspects are met on production jobs

·       To program jobs scheduled by the production team

·       To help control the quality aspects of the produced parts

·       To give good setup sheets to shop floor

·       To train new and existing staff on the programs made by them

·       To cover any holiday requirements the business needs

·       To Prove out own programs before handing over to operators

·       To aide process improvement on new and existing jobs

Key Skills and Experience:

Essential

·       Apprentice trained time served engineer with detailed hands-on specific manufacturing experience with an ever-changing product portfolio.

·       Experience of AS9100 environment or similar quality environment

·       Appropriate technical machining and quality knowledge using a variety manufacturing methods and materials.

·       Detailed knowledge and understanding of OHSE in the workplace

·       Successful implementation of positive change management projects

Desirable

·       Experience man management skills

·       Problem solving ability

·       Ability to off line program and part program at the machines

·       Experience of leading continuous improvement strategy and implementing process improvements.

·       Both turning and milling experience
