My client is on a transformative digital journey, and is looking for an IT Project Manager to play a pivotal role in this evolution. As part of the Digital, Data & Technology Department, you will be managing end-to-end delivery of IT projects that are crucial for their strategic goals.Please note - this opportunity does not offer visa sponsorship, you will need the full right to work in the UK already in place.

  • Salary: Up to £40,000 (slightly more if you have line management experience)
  • Location: Bath - Hybrid working offered (2 days on site)
  • Job Type: Full-time, permanent 
  • Benefits - generous pension of over 20% and other excellent benefits, funding for certifications etc

Day to Day of the role:

  • Manage the full project lifecycle, from requirements gathering and business case formulation to solution delivery, budget management, and schedule oversight.
  • Work closely with the Portfolio Management Office to ensure project lifecycle management and assurance, as well as effective project reporting.
  • Lead project teams, including task and matrix management of the delivery team and management of contractors.
  • Engage effectively with project stakeholders and report progress to the Project Board.
  • Ensure compliance with all Data Protection laws and policies.
  • Undertake personal and professional development to keep skills and knowledge up to date.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in IT project management, including planning, resource allocation, and implementation in line with organisational standards.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Waterfall methodologies and the ability to implement these across projects.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience in matrix management of multidisciplinary teams.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to meet and exceed expectations.
  • Competence in risk, quality, and procurement management.
  • Ability to produce detailed project plans, identify dependencies, and manage changes effectively.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to report project progress to senior management.
