Barkingside£120-£140 per day

We are working with a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Barkingside who are seeking an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to deliver targeted numeracy and literacy booster sessions for Year 10 and Year 11 students.

This role involves working with small groups of up to four students, supporting them to build confidence, close learning gaps, and re-engage positively with their education in a structured and nurturing environment.

• Deliver focused numeracy and literacy interventions to small groups (maximum of 4 students)

• Support a mixed cohort of Year 10 and Year 11 pupils

• Adapt learning materials to meet individual learning needs

• Promote positive behaviour and engagement within a PRU setting

• Work collaboratively with teaching staff to support progress and attainment

• Has previous experience as a HLTA, ideally within a PRU or alternative provision

• Is confident delivering numeracy and literacy interventions

• Demonstrates strong behaviour management skills

• Is calm, patient, and consistent in approach

• Is committed to safeguarding and supporting vulnerable learners

• Daily rate of £120-£140, dependent on experience

• Long-term opportunity within a supportive PRU environment

• Small group work with a maximum of 4 students

• Ongoing support from a dedicated consultant
