IT Business Analyst

The IT Business Analyst will play an important role in the delivery of IT change. The IT project portfolio is varied, encompassing cloud-based solution implementations for different departments, IT infrastructure and application upgrades and migrations, and process transformation through the Microsoft 365 suite.

The IT Business Analyst will work with stakeholders to understand and analyse requirements, develop business cases and design solutions. They will communicate with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle to ensure successful delivery and adoption of the process and technical changes. They will also set standards for business analysis and documentation and promote best practice across the wider IT team.

The IT Business Analyst will need:

* Deep experience of business analysis in a complex technology environment working across the full project lifecycle from business case development, requirements analysis to transitioning solutions into a live environment

* Strong knowledge of the methodology and processes of requirements elicitation and demonstrable successful implementation of them in a relevant business area; includes the ability to transform loose business needs into tangible outcomes including technical specifications

* Experience of business case development, options analysis and process mapping that have aided the design of technological solutions

* Experience of using mapping/diagramming tools such as Visio

* Excellent communication skills (written and oral English), including the ability to translate technical matters to non-technical colleagues

* A desire to work collaboratively in a team, drawing on the expertise of colleagues to ensure that the requirements of the organisation are met

* A positive, 'can-do', and flexible attitude

* Experience of building and maintaining collaborative relationships across organisational boundaries and stakeholder groups including internal and external partners to enable the smooth delivery of projects

* An understanding of project management methodologies

* Self-motivation, and are target-driven, with the ability to work with minimal supervision

* User focus, and will respond to the needs and values of our colleagues

* Experience within the charity sector

* An understanding of SharePoint and other Microsoft technologies
