Ackerman Pierce is currently supporting a leading local authority within Basildon to recruit for an Social Worker - Family Support & Protection Team within the Social Care Industry on a permanent basis paying £37,185 - £50,081 P/Annum.

Responsibilities include:

Initial Assessments and Core Assessments
Report Writing
Working With PLO (Public Law Outline)
Attending Child Protection meetings, Case Conferences and LAC reviews.
Court work including S.7 report and when necessary, taking families into proceedings and some Special Guardianship Order (SGO) assessments
LAC Reviews
Giving Evidence
Managing a varied caseload
Court ReportsTo be successful:

For this role you will need to be a Qualified Social Worker with a HCPC Registration and educated to Degree Level. Candidates will need to have an excellent knowledge of therapeutic approaches, relevant legislation, national policy and initiatives and experience working with Children and Families. You will also need to have the Eligibility to Work in the UK with previous experience within a Children in Need or Child Protection Team.
