Job Title: Interim Building Control Surveyor (Class 2) - Approved Inspector
Location: Wiltshire (Hybrid working available)
Rate: £55-65 per hour (Umbrella or Limited Company)
Contract: initial 6 month contract with a high view to extend

A Wiltshire-based Approved Inspector is seeking an experienced Interim Class 2 Building Control Surveyor to join their team on a rolling contract basis. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a diverse range of residential and commercial projects in a supportive, professional environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage a caseload of complex Building Control applications

Conduct site inspections to assess compliance with Building Regulations

Provide expert technical advice to applicants, developers, and stakeholders

Ensure work aligns with safety, sustainability, and regulatory standards

Collaborate with internal departments and external partners as needed

Requirements:

Class 2 Registration with the Building Safety Regulator

Proven experience in a similar role within a Local Authority

In-depth knowledge of current Building Regulations and associated legislation

Strong communication and organisational skills

Contract Details:

Initial 6-month contract with strong potential for extension

Flexible, hybrid working arrangements available

Competitive hourly rate of £55-£65, depending on experience
