Job Title: Senior Mechanical Contracts Manager
Location: Watford, Hertfordshire
Salary: £65-75K per annum + car allowance + bonus scheme

The Role:

- Responsible for all Mechanical aspects of projects.
- Overseeing 2-3 Project Managers at one who are responsible for 2-3 projects at a time. Commercial Mechanical projects up to the value of £500K. Mainly located in London & surrounding areas.
- Working between the projects and office. Option to WFH from time to time.
- Responsible for effective relationship management with clients & working partners to achieve smooth operational and commercial progression of projects.
- Making sure health, safety & welfare is maintained and adhered to at project/site level.
- Managing projects from contract signature stage, through all phases until handover to the end user.
- Ensuring that all related design information is correctly and fully audited to secure overall compliance.
- Overseeing all elements of the overall commissioning process to ensure that the installations are correctly commissioned.
- Ensuring that complete and comprehensive records are collated and maintained covering all aspects of quality control, system/equipment testing, water treatment, commissioning and equipment maintenance.
- Working closely with the Quantity Surveyor for progress reports and to ensure all commercial and contractual requirements are correctly fulfilled.
- Attend on site meetings, as and when required.
- Overseeing the preparation of operation & maintenance manuals.
- Providing technical support and expertise to the internal project team.
- Managing variation costings and control with the Quantity Surveyor and main contractor.
- Responsible for handover to clients and after care.
- Carrying out reports and issuing to line manager.
- Carrying out surveys, and producing programmes and other documentation as required.
- Reporting to the Director.

- 20+ years experience delivering Mechanical & Electrical projects in London and surrounding areas.
- Offices based in Watford, Hertfordshire.
- Currently at around 85 direct employees.
- This company is currently at around £20M turnover per annum with ambitious growth plans over the next couple of years.
- This hire is due to the company growth. The company is planning to double in size by 2026.

The Ideal Candidate:

- Will have 5+ years experience working as a Mechanical Contracts Manager.
- Will have previous experience working with commercial projects up to the value of £500K (Mechanical).
- Will hold a Black CSCS Managers Card. SSSTS/SMSTS & HNC/HND advantageous.
- Will work well under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Will be a team player and commercially savvy.
- Will have excellent communication skills.
- Will be located in the Watford or London area. Must be willing to work in London.
