We are recruiting for a family-run, fully accredited plumbing, heating and building services company with over 25 years’ experience in the trade. They are Gas Safe, OFTEC and Worcester Bosch Platinum accredited, with a 40-strong multi-trade team providing everything from emergency repairs to full installations for homeowners, landlords, councils, and housing associations across Bristol and the South West.

Key Responsibilities
Carry out servicing, rip outs and installations of domestic gas boilers, heating systems.
Diagnose and repair central heating issues efficiently and safely.
Complete landlord gas safety certificates and boiler servicing to current Gas Safe standards.
Support emergency call-outs for heating and hot water breakdowns on a shared rota.
Work closely with in-house plumbers, electricians and builders to deliver a smooth, integrated service.
Ensure all work complies with relevant safety and building regulations.
Maintain accurate records of works, certificates and job sheets.
Provide excellent customer service and uphold Hudson’s professional reputation in clients’ homes.
Requirements
- Current Gas Safe Registration with relevant domestic ACS qualifications (CCN1, CENWAT, etc.)
- Proven experience servicing and repairing domestic boilers and heating systems.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Good fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
- A tidy, professional approach to work.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a wider team.
- OFTEC registration (for oil boilers) is an advantage but not essential.
- Willingness to work occasional emergency call-outs.
Working Hours
- Standard hours to be worked are 40hrs per week. Between the hours of 7.30am – 5.00pm, minus 30 mins for lunch.
- You are expected to help with cover which includes some Saturdays, rate for Saturdays is one and half times normal rate of pay.
- “Call Out Rota” available for after hours and weekends. There will be an additional payment of £80 per week when you are on the “Call Out Rota” plus weekdays time and half of your current rate of pay door to door after 5pm – 6.00am plus weekends from Friday 5pm to Monday morning 6.00am time and half of your current rate of pay door to door.
