About the RoleReed Education is seeking an experienced and dedicated Year 6 Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in Scunthorpe after the Easter break. This is a full-time position, ideal for an educator who is passionate about supporting pupils through the pivotal final stage of primary education.
What We’re Looking ForWe are seeking a teacher who can confidently lead a Year 6 class through their SATs journey and beyond. The successful candidate will have:
- Proven experience preparing students for Key Stage 2 SATs, including implementing effective strategies to boost confidence and performance.
- A strong track record of driving pupil progress, ensuring students are supported in achieving age-related outcomes.
- Excellent classroom management, with the ability to create a structured, positive learning environment.
- A commitment to raising standards, delivering high-quality teaching, and nurturing student development.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and relevant UK teaching experience.
Key Responsibilities- Planning and delivering engaging lessons aligned with the Year 6 curriculum.
- Monitoring, assessing, and tracking pupil progress effectively.
- Preparing students thoroughly for SATs through targeted teaching and intervention.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues to maintain high expectations and consistent support.
- Contributing to the wider school community where required.
