Pay Scale: £140 - £225 per day

Career Teachers are working with a lovely Infant School based in Castleford, who require a Year 1 Teacher to start in May. The assignment will run until the end of the Academic year in July. The school is an inclusive 2 form-entry with supportive staff who work together to ensure the very best outcomes for their classes.

This is a vibrant and nurturing school dedicated to providing a supportive and stimulating environment for their young learners. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality education to Year 1 students, creating a positive and engaging learning environment, and supporting the individual needs of each child in this Primary School.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective lessons in line with the National Curriculum
Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment
Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development
Implement effective behaviour management strategies to promote a positive learning atmosphere
Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external agencies to support student learning and well-being
Participate in school events, extra-curricular activities, and professional development opportunitiesRequirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and relevant teaching qualifications
Experience teaching in Key Stage 1, preferably Year 1
Strong understanding of the National Curriculum and effective teaching practices
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
Commitment to continuous professional development and collaborationDesirable Skills:

Experience working with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
Proficiency in using educational technology to enhance learning
