Sheep or Shepherd?
If I was to sit here and ask you all how many of you consider yourselves to be a leader, I bet most of you would say yes. Admit it.
But you're a proper leader. You're not someone that hides in the shadows and tries to pass the success of others as your own, but someone that thrives off grabbing the Technical department by its cojones and dragging it forward.
Look, there's nothing wrong with wanting an easy role that doesn't really present much of a challenge. But if that is the case, I'd probably stop reading now. But let's be honest, you get a greater sense of achievement from turning things round, consistently hitting targets and just generally being a bit of a legend.
Being the leader you are, you thrive off man-management and seeing your team succeed. And given the size of the team you'll be responsible for, experience of this is key!
You might be sat there thinking 'this is all great, James. But this is what I do already?' I can confidently say that there definitely won't be many businesses that can offer the same opportunities to progress. I have countless anecdotes of people that have gone in, delivered, and moved their way up through the ranks. Technical Managers now in group level roles, Technical Managers that are now GM's, even some that have gone to the dark side! (Ops Managers)
On top of this, you'll have the chance to work closely with a crazy amount of retailers. Meaning you can add even more of those big names to your already impressive CV. Names that you won't find at any other companies.
If you're sitting there worrying about product type, you needn't, as it really doesn't matter. Although if you've worked in one of those cold factories before, it won't be as much of a shock for you.
If you genuinely see yourself as a leader of people, and fancy testing yourself, apply now or call James Cracknell on #removed#
