Phonics Buddy - Intervention Support (L5 Area)

Are you passionate about early literacy and experienced with Read Write Inc? We're currently working with a welcoming primary school in the L5 area that is looking for a dedicated Phonics Buddy to deliver targeted intervention support to pupils in EYFS and KS1.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is confident delivering structured phonics support and can build strong, positive relationships with children who may need a little extra help to reach their potential.

About the Role:

Delivering 1:1 and small group phonics interventions using the Read Write Inc (RWI) programme

Supporting children in EYFS and KS1 who are working below age-related expectations in reading and phonics

Helping pupils build confidence, fluency, and phonemic awareness

Working closely with the class teacher and SENCo to track progress and adapt support

Creating a fun, encouraging, and inclusive environment that promotes a love of reading

What We're Looking For:

Experience delivering Read Write Inc phonics (essential)

Previous experience working in a primary school setting, ideally within EYFS/KS1

Confident delivering interventions independently and managing small groups

A patient, nurturing approach with strong communication skills

Ability to engage and motivate children of varying abilities
