Job Description:

HGV Technician

Salary: £62K DOE
Location: Huntingdon Area
Job Type: Full-Time, day shift or night shift

Job Purpose

To inspect, service, maintain and repair fleet vehicles in line with DVSA and Operator Licence standards, ensuring full compliance, safety, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

* Prepare vehicles for MOT within required timescales

* Complete servicing, inspections, and repairs on time and in full

* Ensure all work meets DVSA and Operator Licence requirements

* Accurately complete electronic and paper-based documentation

* Comply with Health & Safety, Food Safety, and Environmental policies

* Use authorised equipment and food-safe chemicals appropriately

* Report accidents, defects, and safety concerns promptly

* Liaise with internal teams and external suppliers/MOT centres

* Provide professional and proactive customer service

* Cover additional workshop duties when required

Qualifications

Essential:

* IRTEC, City & Guilds Vehicle Maintenance & Repair, or BTEC National Certificate in Vehicle Repair & Technology
