Duties / Responsibilities:

To ensure the quality management system (QMS) is implemented and maintained to guarantee product safety and legality of product dispatched from the factory, and that all products produced comply with the relevant product specification
Compliance with relevant standards such as BRC/FSSC 22000, Femas, Kosher, Halal etc. as well as legislative and other customer specific requirements
Site HACCP Plan implementation & Management with POM
Drive a continuous improvement agenda to ensure a culture of right first time and audit readiness across the site
Manage external lab suppliers for chemistry & nutritional analysis
Manage retained sample program
Ensure Non-conformance resolution and embedding of long-term preventive measures
Manage Customer Specifications
Manage shelf life and end of life testing programs
Devise and implement all product and environmental testing schedules
Develop and execute site audit schedules such as hygiene & production audits
Responsibility for managing all site Quality records
Commit to striving for a strong Health and Safety culture on site
KPI Reporting as directed by Plant & Operations Manager
Skills, Qualifications and experience required:

You will have at least 5years experience in Quality Management in a food processing environment that operates to GFSI standards ideally BRC/FSSC 2000.
Strong communication, interpersonal, organisational, and administrative skills
Committed attitude with the ability to display initiative and make decisions
Natural problem solver, disciplined in collecting information and ascertaining root cause
Ability to work to deadlines, under pressure and with a can-do attitude
