Aylesbury's leading creative secondary school is recruiting a Head of Art & Design. This is an exciting chance to shape artistic expression, develop design thinking, and lead exhibitions and portfolio development from KS3 to A-level.

Role Summary
You'll guide curriculum planning, manage resources, and mentor a team of Art, Photography, and Graphics teachers. The department enjoys high student uptake, strong GCSE results, and annual student-led gallery events.

Responsibilities

Lead teaching and learning across Art, Graphics & Photography

*

Foster creativity, experimentation, and individual expression

*

Organise gallery events, competitions, and exhibitions

*

Oversee staff training and support ECTs

*

Champion diversity and inclusion in visual arts

Person Specification

*

QTS and degree in Art, Fine Art, or Design

*

Proven leadership or middle leadership experience

*

Strong understanding of assessment for learning and creative development

*

A passion for nurturing talent and providing ambitious cultural opportunities
