Our manufacturing clients based close to Havant have an exciting opportunity for an Inbound Logistics Supervisor to join their growing team. This is a brand-new position, for someone to come into the business, and make it their own!

The Inbound Logistics Supervisor is responsible for supervising a small Goods In and Inventory team to ensure the accurate receipt, storage, organisation, and control of inbound goods. The role focuses on structuring team workloads, maintaining strong stock control, and ensuring materials are available to support production requirements.

This position requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to lead a team while ensuring all inbound processes and quality standards are followed meticulously. The role works closely with the Supply Chain team to ensure efficient flow of goods into the factory and effective stock management.

This role is also to support the Outbound Logistics Supervisor where required.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Team Leadership

* Supervise and support a small Goods In / Inventory team.

* Conduct regular one-to-one meetings with team members to review performance, objectives, and KPIs.

* Provide coaching and guidance to ensure high standards of work and accountability.

* Allocate and prioritise workloads to ensure operational efficiency.

Goods In & Inventory Management

* Ensure accurate and timely receipt of all inbound goods.

* Verify deliveries against purchase orders and delivery notes.

* Maintain organised storage and stock location management.

* Ensure all receipting processes are completed correctly within systems.

* Support production by ensuring materials are available when required.

Stock Control

* Maintain accurate stock levels and inventory records.

* Support and participate in regular stock takes and cycle counts.

* Ensure inventory discrepancies are investigated and resolved.

* Maintain focus on priority workloads and inventory availability.

Process & Quality Control

* Ensure strict adherence to quality control procedures and inspections.

* Maintain full traceability of documentation for audit purposes.

* Ensure all operational procedures are followed consistently.

* Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in logistics processes.

Collaboration

* Work closely with the Supply Chain team to ensure efficient material flow.

* Communicate any supply, stock, or delivery issues that could impact production to relevant departments (Quality, Supply Chain etc)

* Support cross-department coordination between logistics, production, and procurement.

Administration & Systems

* Maintain accurate records for all goods received and inventory movements.

* Use systems such as Excel, SharePoint, and Sage for tracking and reporting.

* Ensure all paperwork and documentation is stored correctly and accessible for audits.

Required Skills & experience:

* Previous Goods In / Inventory / Warehouse admin experience.

* Experience supervising or leading a small team.

* Strong organisation and workload management skills.

* Excellent attention to detail.

* Understanding of receipting purchase orders.

Working hours:

Mon - Fri 07:30 - 16:15 + overtime as necessary
