Reginald Ames Limited is a well-established, fast growing and forward-thinking company, specialising in the importing of high end/speciality Teas, Herbs and Infusions from around the world. We are the market leading contract packer for Speciality Teas in the UK. The team are focused, friendly, and highly professional.

We are looking for a first-class Warehouse Operative. Hours 8 hour shift - shift to be confirmed. Monday to Friday.

Annual Holiday Entitlement: 20 days plus Bank Holidays.

Salary: Dependant upon experience.

Job Summary:

Overall responsibility for all warehouse area during your shift.

Effectively manage material resources. Always achieve the highest standards in Health & Safety, Food Safety and Costs.

Essential Functions:

* Maintain the highest standards of hygiene and good housekeeping (GMP - Good Manufacturing Practices), ensuring the highest quality and food safety standards are embedded in warehouse for your shift.

* Promoting and maintaining an “audit ready” culture within the warehouse by ensuring you understand “what good looks like”.

* Communicate in a timely and effective manner with Warehouse Supervisor about any warehouse issues that occur (e.g. Product quality, Late Deliveries, Product Shortages etc.) which might impact upon the normal smooth running of other departments.

Responsibilities:

Ensure that

* All stock is kept in good condition, product segregation is maintained, and any non-conformances are spotted and controlled

* Outgoing deliveries meet company's and customers' standards

* Fire exits remain clear and no unauthorised personnel enter the Warehouse

Main Tasks:

* Unloading and booking in deliveries, locating away onto WMS (handheld scanners), ensuring all stock is safely stored

* Take samples of all batches for raw materials, including packaging

* Accurate labelling all stock

* Manage Goods in calendar

* Daily / Weekly Checks

* Pick & prepare teas and material for Production runs, and wholesale orders for despatch

* Stock takes

* Keep accurate documentation of products

* Load Haulier / courier vehicles for despatch

Job Knowledge/Skills/Experience:

Essential:

* Minimum 1 year of Warehouse experience

* Good knowledge of customer standards

* Productivity skills

* Pivot Steer (Flexi / Bendi) Truck Licence

* Manual Handling

* Happy to work on own and as part of a small warehouse team

* Comfortable using MS Word, Excel & Outlook

Optional:

* Basic Food Hygiene Certificate

* Basic Health & Safety Certificate

* First Aid

* Fire Safety Awareness
