We are currently partnered with a global electronics manufacturing company based in Bedford assisting them with the recruitment for a Quality Assurance Engineer. Quay Recruitment have a strong track record recruiting for this company over ten years and this is a new opportunity for a Quality Assurance Engineer to join this global organisation who have manufacturing sites throughout the world specialising in manufacturing for aerospace, automotive and medical device sectors.
This role is focusing on their products for the automotive industry and knowledge of the quality standard TS 16949 / IATF 16949 is essential.
The Job role:
As Quality Assurance Engineer you will have a varied and interesting role including the following as an example:
* Help ensure quality systems are maintained following standards (ISO 9001, IATF 16949, AS9100)
* Manage and correct non compliance issues
* Complete internal and external 8Ds
* Take part performing audits both internal and supplier audits
* Liaise with customers and suppliers keeping them updated on quality issues and expectations
* Be involved in the NPI process creating quality files to customer requirements
* To suggest and implement improvements to the quality function and QMS
The Requirements:
To be suitable for the position of Quality Assurance Engineer you will ideally have the following:
* Degree in engineering or HNC/HND in an engineering, manufacturing or similar subject would be advantageous
* Specific knowledge of quality standards including IATF 16949/TS 16949, AS9100 and ISO 9001
* Experience working on or within automotive products or industry is essential
* Previous experience working in the electronics industry or EMS manufacturing would be desirable but not essential

The Package:
The successful candidate for the role of Quality Assurance Engineer will receive the following package:
* Salary circa £40,000
* 5% Bonus
* Two contributory pension schemes
* 25 days per annum plus bank holidays
* Early finish on a Friday - 1:30pm
* Private medical cover
