Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)? We are seeking a dedicated and highly organised Assessment EHCP Coordinator to join our SEND service.
In this vital role, you will manage the Education, Health and Care Needs Assessment (EHCNA) process and produce high-quality Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) within statutory timeframes. Your caseload will cover all educational phases—from Early Years through to Post-16—ensuring that every plan reflects the unique needs and aspirations of each child or young person.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage a large and varied caseload in a fast-paced environment.
Draft clear, outcome-focused EHCPs using comprehensive assessment information.
Work closely with parents, carers, education providers, and multi-agency professionals.
Gather and analyse information from a range of sources to inform decision-making.
Use data sets to guide daily work and monitor progress.
Represent the service at key meetings, including co-production sessions, Ways Forward meetings, tribunals support, and operational discussions.
Ensure compliance with the Children and Families Act 2014, SEND Code of Practice (2015), and all statutory requirements.About You:

Excellent organisational and time management skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
A sound understanding of SEND legislation and statutory processes.
Confidence in managing a busy caseload and working both independently and collaboratively in a multi-agency environment.Requirements:

Local Authority experience is essential.
Ability to work in a hybrid model, attending the office 3 days per week.
As a customer-facing role, applicants must meet the language requirements of Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016, demonstrating a proficient command of spoken English/Welsh.Why Choose Ackerman Pierce?
