International Sales Manager
(Protective Products - PPE)

Salary: Salary and benefits package commensurate with experience
Location: Home based with travel to the office as required
The Client:
The company specializes in the development and marketing of a wide range of biodegradable and anti-microbial plastic additives and finished plastic products mainly to the plastics, medical, packaging and retail industries. A key part of their business is the sourcing and supply of PPE through long standing toll manufacturing relationships.
Primary Role:
⦁ Lead the development of new business for the finished goods products (e.g. gloves, masks, PPE) into UK and international healthcare customers
⦁ Work closely with the procurement team in the sourcing of new products
⦁ Develop both short and long term sales opportunities across the product range.
⦁ Meet the company's vision of managing and developing business in line with its values and principles of developing environmentally responsible products
⦁ Engaging with healthcare companies and trusts at top management to sell the products
Key Responsibilities:
⦁ Deliver new business agreed targets, margin expectations and business capability.
⦁ Develop, monitor, maintain and grow a profitable portfolio of sales through both direct sales and a developed distribution network.
⦁ Contribute to pricing strategies in line with business processes.
⦁ Contribute to the drawing up of sales contracts, presentations and commercial agreements to include key performance indicators.
⦁ Contribute to the commercial strategy and annual budgets.
⦁ Ensure the seamless and professional introduction of new business into the company through robust communication of customer requirements internally and to manufacturing partners.
⦁ Establish credible direct and indirect customer relationships in order to deliver long term business prosperity.
⦁ Keep abreast of market trends, developments and competitor activities to ensure the business is progressing a pro-active development programme.
⦁ Produce regular customer and market reports to educate the business covering any issues, recommendations and actions which may lead to enhancing the quality and effectiveness of the product and business.
⦁ Liaise with the technical team any future requirement or technological advancements, which may affect customer product and quality specifications.
⦁ Be responsible for the expansion of existing markets and the development of new product areas involving customer contacts on a UK and international scale.
⦁ Contribute to exhibitions and other marketing events
Person profile:
Experience Traits-
⦁ Ideally but not essential, an in-depth knowledge of selling PPE or similar traded products both to UK customers and on an International basis
⦁ Working within a fast paced 'trader' type of business model
⦁ Track record of business development
⦁ Experience of sourcing as well as selling products is an advantage
⦁ Proven and demonstrable commercial awareness and ability to delivery commercial agreements
⦁ Ability to build lasting customer relationships.
⦁ A high level of numeracy, IT literacy and excellent analytical skills are essential.
⦁ Readiness to travel extensively both in the UK and abroad.
