I am currently representing Cheshire East Council who are offering an initial temporary contract for a period of 8 months with a view to be extended or offered a permanent position for the right candidate at a rate which is negotiable dependent upon experience.

We are looking for Job Analyst based at Floor 3, Delamere House, CW1 2JZ

The Council is undergoing significant organisational change and large‑scale restructuring, creating a sustained increase in demand for job evaluation activity. Services are redesigning structures, creating new roles and revising existing posts, all requiring timely and consistent job analysis under the NJC Job Evaluation Scheme.

Managers' capacity is already stretched delivering major transformation programmes. This role is required to provide dedicated, specialist support to ensure job evaluation activity keeps pace with change and remains fair, consistent and legally compliant.

To deliver high‑quality job analysis and JDQ production in line with the NJC Job Evaluation Scheme, enabling accurate grading of new and revised roles and supporting the timely implementation of restructures and recruitment.

Key Accountabilities :

* Conduct structured job analysis interviews with jobholders, managers and trade union representatives

* Analyse and verify job content and produce robust JDQs

* Provide expert advice on NJC job evaluation processes and requirements

* Support job evaluation panels and appeals as required

* Manage high volumes of evaluation work linked to restructuring programme

Requirements :

* Proven experience of job analysis and job evaluation, ideally within local government

* Strong working knowledge of the NJC Job Evaluation Scheme and equal pay principles

* Experience conducting job analysis interviews and completing JDQs

* Ability to work at pace during periods of organisational change
