City & Capital are currently representing a highly respected & fast-growing property finance lender who are achieving exciting growth. They have engaged our services to appoint a confident & experienced Head of IT who will take oversight of the companies IT stack and ongoing technology transformation programme.
The Company
Our client is known for supporting property developers & investors with access to funds for important property projects. Solutions include commercial mortgages, bridging finance & BTL. Our client are a leading player in their sector & ahead of the pack in terms of innovation and engagement with tech and systems that drive business performance and lending efficiency.
The Department & Team
Our client currently operates a small but effective IT team, though this is set to scale as the company embarks on its technology focus and growth. Reporting to the CTO, you will inherit existing team members but will be expected to play the lead role in onboarding new specialisms in to the team, to meet the commercial and operational objectives of the business.
The department works closely with senior leaders in operational departments, so the capacity to communicate across the business is a critical requirement for the Head of IT.
Role Overview
As Head of IT you will be responsible for setting and overseeing policies and strategies that drive best practice and support the needs of the business. You will take full responsibility for IT governance & protecting the business from associated threats.
Critically, you will play a key role in the ongoing tech development and business transformation programme, which is driving growth objectives for years to come.
Responsibilities
- Define the overall IT strategy & roadmap to achieve business objectives
- Build and grow the internal IT function in scale with business growth
- Establish IT governance, policies & procedures for all aspects of the business
- Drive innovation, digital transformation and continuous improvement
- Oversee IT Security and Cybersecurity in all aspects
- Mange servers, networks, storage and data centres
- Take oversight of the company CRM and API tools (Salesforce & MuleSoft)
- Oversee software development & Integration
- Oversee the companies Desktop support function to drive productivity
- Ensure full compliance with relevant data protection laws and expectations
- Lead the development of robust data governance policies
- Drive the adoption and effective use of BI platforms and analytics tools
- Manage all external IT vendors of the company
Candidate Requirements
- Proven experience in a senior IT leadership role
- Strong knowledge of IT operations, infrastructure, security & service management
- Hands on experience of Salesforce and MuleSoft
- Experience managing IT teams in growing business
- Relevant certifications (Eg, ITIL, CISSP)
- Registered with the SRA
- Exposure to cloud platforms (Eg, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
On Offer
Our client is ideally looking to pay up to c£150k as a basic salary for the ideal individual, relevant to experience and qualifications. Higher offers may be considered for exceptional experience.
Salary will be complemented by access to our client’s favourable bonus structure too, which will significantly increase year on year earnings.
