Highbridge Resourcing are looking for an experienced and passionate Registered Manager (Nurse) to work in a brand new 90 bed nursing home for older people with dementia and additional needs. The home is opening in April 2020 and is based in Dudley, West Midlands

The organisation is an established care provider who have been operating for 20 years within this sector. They are an experienced company who are growing and developing and with this comes exciting opportunities.

As the Registered Manager you will take joint responsibility with the Operations Manager as the person in charge for the overall day to day operational management of the service. As a qualified RGN or RMN, you will be fully accountable for the clinical management of the home.

As Registered Manager, you will be responsible for:

Managing the day-to-day running of the home and to act as person-in-charge.
Providing all relevant information and leaflets to prospective new service users and to make appointments and show them and their relatives around the home.
Arranging and accessing trial visits.
Assessing whether the home is able to meet the personal care needs of any prospective service user and to negotiate an appropriate fee with the purchasing authority or the client or client’s family
Investigating complaints in accordance with CQC Guidelines and Company Policy, take appropriate action and report to Operations Manager, Directors and/or the CQC
Liaison with and co-operate with CQC inspectors and inspections.
Ensuring that the emotional, spiritual, physical, medical and material needs of the service users are recognised, assessed and met
Ensuring that there is a good communication with and between staff and to arrange regular staff and Head of Department meetings.
Ensuring that effective induction, supervision and assessment of staff is carried out and that training needs are identified and met. Organise training sessions in accordance with Company Training Plan.
The ideal candidate must have;

Registered General Nurse or Registered Mental Health Nurse (RGN or RMHN) with an active PIN
Extensive post registration experience
Registered Managers Award
A good track record with CQC including evidence of gaining good reports and inspections
Previous experience at Deputy Manager level or equivalent
Previous experience of working with assessment and care planning
Previous experience of managing in a complex organisation
Experience of managing budgets
Experience of Managing Health and Safety
Computer literate
Willingness to participate in vocational training programmes
Satisfactory police check and check against the ISA list (where applicable)
Basic Understanding of Infection Control
Willingness to hold the registration as manager for the home
