Growing Textile Company creating new Sales Representative position selling textiles and fabric to manufacturers in the Outdoor Industry Retail Market and Fashion Manufacturers. Customers include manufacturers of Apparel, Outerwear, Sportswear, Athleisure, Hiking, Outdoors, Uniforms, Headwear, Hunting & Equestrian Gear, Bags, Accessories, Luggage, and Shoes.
Sales Representative will have a geographic focus of North Western States from Colorado to Washington as well as an Outdoor and Fashion Market focus with select accounts across the Midwest. Key Accounts are Columbia Sportswear, Eddie Bauer, Pendleton Woolen Mills, Nike, Kavu, REI, Kuhl, JanSport, Barbour, C.C. Filson, Cabela’s, etc. Sales Representative will also be covering Outdoor Industry accounts in western Canada (British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba).
Sales Representative will be selling a premium line of waxed cotton fabric, TexWaxTM, into the Outerwear and Bag Manufacturing (BackPacks, Messenger Bags, Tote Bags, Luggage) market to premier brands along with a focus on Fashion Fabrics selling our Digitally Printed Fabrics, Organic Cotton and Eco Friendly Recycled fabrics. Sales Representative will be attending and/or exhibiting at Outdoor Retailer, Magic Show, SHOT Show, TexWorld USA, Los Angeles Textile Show, Western/English Apparel Market, North West Apparel and Footwear Materials Show, etc.
Sales Representative must be able to develop strong relationships with designers, product development, marketing, sales, and purchasing teams at target Outdoor Industry and Fashion Apparel companies to specify our fabrics for use.
Sales Representative requires Business to Business sales with repeat selling. Account cultivation by referrals of current client base, trade shows, and cold calling data base listings. Person must be able to identify fashion trends and new markets for growth in the Outdoor Retail, Sportswear, and Fashion Markets. Position requires travel approximately 5 - 10 days per month to clients and prospects in the territory.
Days in office are spent cultivating leads by telephone, email, and following up on quotes and samples. Sales Representative must be a self-starter, positive attitude, possess effective communication and closing skills. Prior sales experience in textile/fabric field or Outdoor Retail or Fashion Apparel market is a plus.
Position pays base salary plus commissions and travel expenses.
