Your role as Accounts Senior You will manage your own portfolio of clients, delivering high-quality accounts preparation and supporting them with day-to-day financial matters.This is a hands-on, varied role where you will also play a key part in supporting the wider team, improving processes and contributing to workflow management.Day to day, you will:

• Manage a portfolio of clients including sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
• Prepare statutory accounts with minimal supervision
• Work on more complex assignments, including group structures
• Prepare corporate tax computations and support with other taxes (VAT, income tax)
• Ensure work is completed to budget and deadlines, liaising with Managers where needed
• Support workflow planning, allocation and review
• Mentor and train junior team members
• Build strong relationships with clients and act as a key point of contact
• Identify risks and opportunities for both clients and the business
• Continuously look to improve processes and efficiencies

What you'll need to succeed

• ACA or ACCA qualified, or AAT qualified/QBE with relevant experience
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in accounts within practice
• Strong technical knowledge of accounts production and accounting standards
• Experience managing a portfolio and supporting junior staff
