Cover People are seeking a KS3/KS4 English Teacher for a secondary school in the Trafford area. This is an excellent opportunity for an English specialist seeking a long-term role in a supportive school environment.

Dates: After February Half Term - July 2026
Days: Full-time (5 days per week) preferred, though part-time availability may be considered
Workload: Some planning and marking required, with schemes of work already in place

Key Responsibilities

Deliver engaging and differentiated English lessons to KS3 and KS4 pupils

Follow school schemes of work, adapting lessons to meet the needs of all learners

*

Maintain high standards of classroom behaviour and student engagement

*

Assess and track pupil progress, providing constructive feedback

*

Contribute to the wider life of the school where appropriate

Essential Criteria

*

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

*

Proven experience teaching English within a UK secondary setting

*

Strong classroom and behaviour management skills

*

Ability to plan, deliver, and assess effectively across KS3-KS4

*

Right to work in the UK
