Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Location: Radstock, BA3

Salary: £40,500 - £42,000 per annum + Overtime at enhanced rates

Shifts: Double Days (37.5 hours per week)

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a large, well-established manufacturer operating at the forefront of FMCG. Employing over 300 people on site, this is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop within a fast-paced and innovative engineering environment.

The Role

As an Electrical Maintenance Engineer, you'll play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of production equipment across the site. This position requires a proactive and driven individual who can fault find, maintain, and improve equipment performance while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Carrying out planned and preventative maintenance routines.

Diagnosing faults and delivering corrective actions on a wide range of equipment.

Supporting shift teams with investigations into downtime, process, and quality issues.

Acting as incident coordinator during major breakdowns.

Taking ownership of materials and costs associated with engineering duties.

Supporting engineering projects and contributing to safety, productivity, and quality improvements.

About You

Recognised Electrical Apprenticeship, HNC, or equivalent (time-served candidates considered).

17th Edition (or later) qualification.

Experience with single and three-phase systems, motors, controllers, and PLCs.

Ability to read circuit diagrams and fault-find down to PCB level.

Some knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic systems, or CAD would be advantageous.

What's on Offer

Salary: £40,500 - £42,000 per year.

Overtime: Time and a half (including Sundays at enhanced rates).

Shifts: Double Days (rotating early and late shifts).
