I am recruiting a Field Service Engineer with experience with automotive electrical systems (12V/24V, wiring harnesses, CAN Bus) to support our clients in the West Midland area.

The role is offered with a salary of £34000 to £38000 deending on your level of experience. You will be on the road a lot

You will be working with first responder fleets (paramedics, ambulances etc so the role offers the chance to have a positive effect on someones life)

The role

Installation & Integration

* Perform advanced electrical installations and calibrations on 12V/24V emergency vehicles.

* Configure hardware and software to meet customer specifications.

* Validate installations and perform functional testing for seamless integration.

* Document all work for internal knowledge sharing and customer records.

Technical Support & Troubleshooting

* Diagnose and resolve complex electrical, telematics, and integration issues — on-site and remotely.

* Interface with CAN Bus, ECUs, and vehicle networks using advanced diagnostic tools.

* Provide rapid, structured solutions to minimise fleet downtime.

Customer Training & Support

* Deliver demonstrations and technical training sessions for customers.

* Act as the primary technical liaison during field deployments and support cycles.

* Provide feedback to our R&D and engineering teams to drive continuous product improvement.

You must have proven experience with automotive electrical systems (12V/24V, wiring harnesses, CAN Bus), strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills and excellent communication skills
