1:1 Teaching Assistant

Cardiff (CF3)

10.20 - 15.00 GBP (per hour)

Start Date: Trial day availability is required for the w/c 5th July 2021.

Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit an experienced 1:1 Teaching Assistants to work within their new Nursery Class, starting in September 2021.

Due to the specific needs of the pupil, the school would like to see applicants on a trial basis. So, a minimum requirement, is availability for a day or two before the end of this academic year (16/07/2021).

The pupil has physical and mental difficulties, that shall be discussed in more depth upon completion of a successful trial day.

The school is a single form entry, ESTYN rated GOOD school. It is a key part of the community and the SLT have disclosed that this role is one that has the potential to continue for years to come if the applicant is successful.

  • Level 2 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools

  • Level 2 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools
  • Level 2 Teaching Assistant Certificate
  • Level 3 Award in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools
  • Level 3 Diploma in Specialist Support for Teaching and Learning in School

This role may require:

  • Prepare learning materials under the supervision of the teacher.
  • Work inside or outside the classroom with individuals or groups.
  • Adapt support according to needs.
  • Look after children's physical, social and emotional welfare.
  • Create a stimulating environment.
  • Give information and help to teachers.
  • Keep records and attend review meetings.
