EC&I Technician

Up to £54,000 (DOE) plus benefits

MC Technical Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced EC&I Technician to join an established team within the Renewable Energy sector. As an Electrical, Controls and Instrumentation Technician, this role plays a pivotal part in ensuring electrical equipment and control systems are maintained to ensure smooth operation at their site based in Mitcham. 

Key Responsibilities:

Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on electrical and instrumentation systems
Calibrate and commission field instruments (flow, pressure, temperature, level)
Troubleshoot PLCs (Omron preferred), SCADA, and automation systems
Support plant shutdowns, upgrades, and emergency callouts
Maintain technical documentation and ensure regulatory compliance

What We're Looking For:

NVQ Level 3 / HNC / HND in Electrical, Instrumentation, or Control Engineering
17th/18th Edition certification (essential)
4+ years' experience in EC&I roles in industrial, utilities, or process environments
Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
Familiarity with PLCs (Siemens, Allen Bradley, Omron), SCADA, and test equipment
