Are you passionate about supporting children with additional needs? We are seeking a dedicated Special Education Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and supportive team at a well-regarded Wolverhampton school, rated Good by OFSTED.
About the RoleAs a Special Education TA, you will work closely with children who have Autism and ADHD, providing tailored support to help them thrive in the classroom and beyond. You’ll play a key role in promoting positive behaviour, encouraging engagement, and enabling every child to reach their full potential.
This role is particularly well-suited to someone seeking part-time, flexible hours, and looking to make a real difference in a rewarding educational environment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide one-to-one and small group support for children with Autism and ADHD.
- Assist the class teacher with implementing individual learning plans.
- Encourage positive behaviour and help children develop social and communication skills.
- Support pupils in accessing the curriculum and participating in school life.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCO, and parents to ensure consistent support.
Requirements- Previous experience working with children with Autism and ADHD is essential.
- A caring, patient, and adaptable approach to working with children.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships.
- Understanding of safeguarding and a commitment to child welfare.
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one).
