Catering Manager - School Kitchen

Location: Yate, BS37
Salary: £28,021.12 - £30,700.51 per annum)

Working Hours: Term time +2 weeks (40 weeks per annum) 7am - 4pm
Contract: Full-time, term-time only

M&M Supply are working with a welcoming school who are looking for a Catering Manager to lead their busy school kitchen. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced catering professional who is passionate about food, nutrition, and leading a team.

What you'll be doing:

* Managing the day-to-day running of the school kitchen

* Leading and motivating a team of catering staff

* Planning healthy, balanced menus for students (primary & secondary)

* Making sure food safety, hygiene and nutrition standards are met

* Ordering stock, managing budgets and reducing waste

* Working closely with the school and Regional Catering Manager to ensure high standards

* Supporting catering for school events when needed

What we're looking for:

* Experience managing a catering team (school or similar setting preferred)

* Strong knowledge of food hygiene, nutrition, and allergens

* Good financial awareness and organisational skills

* A positive leader who can motivate and support staff

* Flexible, proactive and committed to high standards

Essential Qualifications:

* GCSE Maths & English (Grade C/4 or above)

* City & Guilds 706 1 & 2 (or equivalent)

* Level 3 Food Hygiene & Safety (or equivalent)

* Strong knowledge of HACCP, COSHH, and dietary needs
