The Company
Able Bridge Recruitment are working in partnership with one of Fife`s most prestigious accounting practices in the recruitment of a permanent payroll supervisor. The organisation are based centrally and have excellent transport links from locations across the central belt such as Dundee, Edinburgh, Stirling, West Lothian, Dunfermline and Glenrothes.

The role has been created due to growth and will report into the director of operations. You will be responsible for managing the payroll process ensuring that work is evenly distributed amongst the payroll processors (4).

The Responsibilities
The purpose of this role is to effectively deputise for the director of operations and ensure that the payroll function of the firm is carried out effectively, efficiently and with predefined timelines set out by their customers. You will be mentoring and appraising staff within the payroll team as well as resolving complex queries at the same time as managing your own portfolio of payrolls.

On a day-to-day basis you can expect to be responsible for the following;
You will be responsible for a portfolio of payroll (bureau) clients which you will be accountable for the day-to-day communication of vital payroll information.
Assurance that payroll information that is processed is accurate compared with information provided.
Assistance with your client`s time and attendance record management.
Process payslips, P45`s. P60`s, SSP, SMP, Student loan repayments etc.
Assist your clients with the resolution of payroll queries as and when they arise.

Requirements
We are seeking an professional payroll supervisor who has a proven track record of managing/supervising a team of payroll processors. We are looking for an individual who comes from a public practice background and who has a positive and proactive mindset. The firm is considered by their competitors as one of the best in the industry which is a reputation that is not undeserved. As such they are looking for individuals who will go the extra mile for their clients. Individuals who are passionate about first in class service and who will proactively maintain a payroll department that is better than the rest! Experience of payroll systems such as Xero, Iris, Sage Payroll etc will be essential to be considered for this role.

Our client will be expecting the successful applicant to be based in the office on a blended working model, the model that we are working with is 60% in the office and 40% working remotely. If, however, applicants wish to work longer in the office the option is available to them
